Scripps Ranch Real Estate
Scripps Ranch is a neighborhood of San Diego with two different faces. The
older area is nestled in the Eucalyptus trees and has a very wooded, shady
feeling. The newer area of Scripps Ranch Villages is an area of fine
homes, many of them large, with new schools and shopping centers.
Schools are excellent in this area, and people like living here because it
is close to employment centers. In fact, Scripps is becoming an employment
center itself, with many companies moving to the area along Scripps Poway Parkway. Many people moving
into San Diego to take jobs tell me that they want to live relatively close
to work and in a newer area. Scripps fits the bill.

Here's a typical 1970s street in Scripps Ranch. A home in
an area like this would probably be 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, with a
2 car garage, around 1500 square feet, and go in the $600K range.
Notice the tall Eucalyptus trees, unique to this area. This
is the type of area that was hit by the Cedar fire in late 2003. |
| This is a street in the newer section of Scripps Ranch. Here
you would expect to find 2400-2600 square foot homes, 2 or 3 years
old, and priced in the $800K range. |
